PulsimSuite is a TNO software tool to perform acoustic (pulsation) analyses of pipe systems. The flow in pipe systems is often not steady, but pulsating as a result of a reciprocating compressor or pump. The compressor-induced pulsations, in combination with the fluid properties and a potentially resonating pipe system, may result in unallowable pulsation levels.

PulsimSuite is a TNO software tool to perform acoustic (pulsation) analyses of pipe systems. The flow in pipe systems is often not steady, but pulsating as a result of a reciprocating compressor or pump. The compressor-induced pulsations, in combination with the fluid properties and a potentially resonating pipe system, may result in unallowable pulsation levels. Not only will you see if your system complies to internationally accepted standards (API), you can also virtually investigate potential solutions to mitigate the pulsation levels.

We provide innovative solutions based on expertise in heat and fluid dynamics, mechanical engineering and measurement and control technology. We specialize in gas and fluid flow in pipelines and process equipment, with the objective to maximize production and system efficiency while minimizing mechanical loads, resulting in safe and reliable assets.

The current PulsimSuite team continues the work of (among others) Jan Smeulers and André Eijk, who are both still actively involved as advisors.

PulsimSuite was developed by TNO specialists, who have executed numerous API 618/674 consultancy projects on pulsations and vibrations in pipe systems over the past five decades. Our knowledge is consolidated in the PulsimSuite software package, and the users can count on the full support of this experienced group of engineers.
