PulsimSuite 2.4.2 released
PulsimSuite version 2.4.2 has been released on February 27, 2026. The graphical user interface has improved efficiency in handling larger amounts of results data, and large mechanical responses are handled faster by means of optimized use of ANSYS® parallel computing and more efficient post-processing of the mechanical results.
Some of the other highlights of this release are:
- Valve dynamics:
The CYV node is a reciprocating gas compressor cylinder model with valve dynamics. In this model, the cylinder valve is not simply “open” or “closed”, but the motion of the valve plate is calculated based on the instantaneous pressure difference over that plate and the valve spring force. In other words, this is a true Fluid-Structure Interaction simulation of the valve motion. With this model, you can predict valve impact velocity, flutter, and multiple impacts.
- New API 618, 6th edition
The latest editions of the relevant API standards are now available for compliance checking.
- User-defined beams database import
The PulsimSuite GUI can now read a user-defined database of beam profiles. Your database can be placed in any directory, and will be included seamlessly.
